Absolutely brilliant day out. Best awayday for a good while.

Atmosphere was brilliant, helped by us being good and them being shit, but also helped by many getting together for a vocal warm up in Yatesā€™s.

Iā€™m not often a fan of the ā€œdesignated away pubā€ (the one in Wolverhampton is DREADFUL) but it seemed to help yesterday.

Moving the away end was also a decent result. Iā€™m sure they wanted away fans away from cameras and their singers but safe standing helped the atmosphere, good size concourse with fast moving queue and the ability to go out for a smoke / vape. Iā€™m really going to miss it as an away day next season. Iā€™m not sure that was the effect they wanted when they moved it. Even managed a pre match chat with the legendary @Lenny Rider
Too be replaced by the looks of it dirty Leeds, Sheffield Utd and Burnley, three great away days šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

I agree wholeheartedly. Everyone giving the free Palestine march a bit of stick through the windows was jokes. Classic fickle fan behaviour, but funny nevertheless.

Great away day. A bit tiring given that the train experience was far from comfortable. Belgium and Blues pre match was just bloody brilliant. The new away end was really good I thought, very good facilities. Great atmosphere from the travelling support as the team strolled to victory. A thoroughly enjoyable day out.

Iā€™d like to give a special mention to the woman who was security / steward for the section I was in. Joking with us throughout, offering our fans a helping hand up the steps when they needed it and for comedy when they didnā€™t, dancing along to herself at our songs and laughing her head off at the loud and lengthy ā€œyouā€™re ****ing ****ā€.

After, outside the ground where they were all lined up she wished us all a safe journey home too. It makes such a difference when the staff at an away ground are friendly and relaxed.

Not sure how a pub in Wolverhampton helped yesterday however yes, the songs were generally great yesterday however I abstained from ā€œyouā€™ve seen the Albionā€ and the pitiful ā€œfootball in a libraryā€ on 14 minutes. However Iā€™m not the song police so if you want to sing it, knock yerselves out.

Football in a library, is a mandatory chant for all premier league away fans at every game.
Often chanted, without irony ,by fans that we can barely hear throughout a game.

Is it to the tune of ā€œTequilaā€?
No.

To the tune of ā€˜We are the championsā€™ not the Queen one, but the TV show from the 70s/80sā€¦..šŸ˜‚

Sheffield away is quite good with some decent pubs in easy walking distance. Leeds nothing near the ground, Burnley a bit better but longer more awkward trip.

My best ā€˜awayā€™ day for as long as I can remember! From start to finish, just brilliant! Yates was great, really enjoyed the atmosphere there.

Seriously paying for it today - had to let my assistant take over coaching duties for my under 9 and under 11 games today!

I quite like it. It's kind of retro. Simple, old fashioned, but works. Not every song has to be a masterpiece (or, in our case, any of them).

For some reason @Lenny Rider asked me to write the foreword to his biography. Not entirely sure why!
