I sat in the Saints end today and boy I was proud of our fans. They are loud.
Great performance, good result and some good goals. Some results went for us too.
I did too. Far corner, diagonally opposite the Albion corner. The people around us didn’t have any expectations or hope at all - I’ve never seen a crowd more resigned to “it what it is”. They weren’t even that upset or angry as our goals went in.

In their defence however, they were allowed bottle tops on their soft drinks, so it’s not all bad.

I sat in the Saints end too, next to Mrs DiS.
my hands were numb from sitting on them, and I managed to look suitably glum at the end. I was worried about being shot as a spy, as I was wearing a Saints scarf ….. yeugh!
And obviously one was happy with what one was seeing, given that the second half goals happened right in front of me!

Today is the result we should be getting against any bottom 3 team when we play them, and not dropping points as we usually do,

And what was the point of the one way system after the game, given that most home fans had already left.

That one way system was ridiculous. Turned a 10 minute walk into a 35 minute slog back to the car. Certainly wasn’t in place last time we played them

Adjusted for accuracy
close. the article says:
"Opta's League Prediction model estimates the likelihood of teams finishing in each position. The model estimates the probability of each match outcome (win, draw or loss) by using betting market odds and the Opta Power Rankings. The odds and rankings are based on historical and recent team performances.

The model considers the strength of opponents by using these match outcome probabilities and simulates the remaining fixtures in the competition thousands of times. By analysing the outcome of each of these simulations, the model can see how often teams finished in each league position to create our final predictions."

however, if it was me and I had "filled in after a liquid lunch", and the bbc had emailed me for an explanation of my methodology, this is probably what chatgpt would have written for me to copy into my response ... before going back out for another swift half.

the only downside for me of the last 3 games, is that I spent so much time lapping up the tears of sad Chelsea Youtubers, that my Youtube feed is now full of Chelsea stuff.
I only want to see that when we beat them.
Youtube/google need to adjust the algorithm to take into account Schadenfreude tourists.
