Could the Forest debacle turn out to be a positive for our season?

I'm saying if we go on to win all our remaining games (cup and league) then maybe yes.

Rested, because of the number of players we now have available. If they were 'out' today they'd definitely be 'out' 3 months later don't you think

Yes.

On May 8 2023, Brighton lost against a hopelessly shite Everton side with 5-1 without the manager, players or fans giving a shit about it because things were already euphoric and lovely.

That day, the culture of "I don't give a f*** if we concede 4-5-6 goals because we play the most amazing football ever!" was born, and people shrugged.
People shrugged when we conceded 6 against Villa, 4 against Luton, 4 against Roma last season, and this season when we conceded 4 against Chelsea.

This shoddy "no one gives a shit if we lose with one goal or five goals" would always end with someone slaughtering us like this. Fans said "no more" and the players finally discovered the concept of "professional dignity" where you can't just stop giving a shit once you go two goals down.

Super valuable lesson and the end of a rather long lasting carelessness that I found highly annoying.
