Burger Bros, Burger Bros, Burger Bros - purely for the burgers which are, quite simply, superb so long as cooked by the right brother!!!

My daughter is visiting at the weekend and she's wondering which of our city's 850 restaurants is the best place for burgers - and with a bit of atmosphere too. Any recommendations?

what do you want ?

Burger - Burger Bros - take away , town centre
Burger - Burger Off - take away / eat in but out of town new oak hollingbury semi rough pub

Atmosphere - day / afternoon / night ?? meatliquor / honest burger

Never been. For obvious reasons, although maybe I should add it to my list to try next time I'm back in the mother land, but I have heard good things about Burger Bros:

I do hope the County Oak has changed a bit in the last 40+ years since I was last in there
I remember going to anti natal classes in the building next to the Oak in the Summer of 95, popped in for a post match pint with the then Mrs (she had a soft drink) at around 7pm and quite literally stepped over two geezers rolling around on the floor mid fight 😮

You'll need a time machine and a steadfast belief that the Grubbs on St. James St. was the best in the city for this particular suggestion but...the Grubbs on St. James St.
aka "gay grubbs" was good, but also consider with your time machine........:

st peters / york place Grubbs before it moved to grubbs cafe and then back to the orginal shop

wick inn Grubbs - when it had the convayor belt to the upstairs kitchen

I used to live on Holland Road - that Grubbs was a dangerous temptation everytime I stumbled home from the pub.

I've never had a joint and a burger rolled into one. So to speak

IF I fancied both at the same time, I'd probably stay at home, although I can vaguely recall a repetitive cycle of one after the other, returning from a gig in Brixton many decades ago . .
