This is the puzzle that Victoria Coren was v sarcastic about as it’s a clear rip off of 'Only Connect'. The NYT version is usually far too simple while the Only Connect version too difficult.

As an avid watcher of Only Connect (and someone who has considered getting a team together but fears I’d just spend half an hour on TV gawping at VCMs chest) I found it rather easy and got all 4 connections straight away. Not enough Only Connect style red herrings. Hopefully other days will be trickier.

Agreed. They need some clues that fit in to more than one category.

Been doing this for a while. Todays was quite easy/simple - whereas some of them are much harder especially when it involves American words/slang.

They often do. Connections today was the easiest in a while tbf.

The degree of difficulty varies too much… I think they should add a timer? Today took a few seconds… other days are too arcane. I believe it is still in beta testing.

Had to laugh at the answers today, reminding us that as George Bernard Shaw said "America and England are two countries separated by a common language."

First time I have played this thanks to your bump! Not sure what the last 4 all had in common but it was process of elimination.
