Yep back four were very good . Tariq got a bit overloaded at times but Neto is a good player and only escaped a few times.

I thought Lamptey was excellent considering he was on his wrong side, and considering he got no where near as much help from Mitoma that Veltman got from Minteh, who basically played as a wingback for much of the game.
His reading of the game is superb. More than once in the last few games he's very casually cut out some quite good cut backs in the area whilst the opposition queue up behind him.
Also superb at marshalling the defence.
Were we not playing 3 at the back?
he was excellent at bailing Lamptey out on several occasions too
Also mentioned he was seriously being considered for England a few years ago too and got injured at the wrong time.
I remember Carragher waxing lyrical about him during one of our televised games.
