Well, yes we don't see what's going on.
But we're paying them players wages, to do coaches jobs. We have very decent senior players in the squad and there already appears to be a strong leadership group, some of them formed by relatively young players such as JPVH.
I just think we should be paying players to play
I did suggest it might be cheaper to get coaches to do the same.

Doesn't bring the 'saged wisdom' profle and look that Llalana and Milner bring. No doubt he has been mismanaged at his current club but think he wouldn't bring enough to the 'Albion Party' to justify signing him.

They can't stand him round this way. Felt very betrayed, rightly or wrongly, about him upping sticks and going to Man Utd after they'd helped resurrect his career.
Doesn’t look much like a leader and wouldn’t get a game anyway.

The trouble with the 'older head/help the youngsters' type player is that what you see on the pitch doesn't tell half the story. I'm not sure that Milner/Lallana have really done that much for us on the pitch, whilst Steele and Webster are fine examples of this whilst not playing regularly.
I think that Danny, Lewis and Pascal were very rare in being constants on the pitch while doing that 'experienced leadership' thing. If we can get one of those, then brilliant but the balance of the squad isn't totally about what we see every Saturday
