I mean, you said it wasn’t clear he’d fixed anything just because we beat Chelsea twice  A lot of us believe he has learned from his mistakes and made immediate improvements.
Fair enough, conversely I think it's all too early and you can't read anything into one or two results - good or bad. The Forest result may well have been a turning point, or it may just have been 'one of those things'. Let's see where we are at the end of the season. (Or for some: let's see where we are after the next match).

Sadly the only thing the last couple of games have proven is that poor Dunk's style of football has had its day (if it ever had it)...We haven't gotten bogged down in playing back to the keeper, we've done little walking football and the pass from Bart to Mitoma, I'm not sure would have happened under Dunk, he'd be gesturing to keep it down and set up shop...I'm really sad to have to say this, but thats where my heart is right now. I am and will continue to be a HUGE Dunk fan...but maybe the time has come...

Dunk would be acting under the coach’s instructions. He is also capable of 60 yards cross field passes to start an attack.

He is slowing down due to his age, and getting more injuries but that’s just life.

In answer to OP yes, the Forest result may well be the turning point in our season. Players have responded and dare I say it, the coaching team too?. Looking back at Friday nights 3 nil win, it could have ended up (probably should've) 5 or 6 nil to us had Pedro not sky'd from 20 yards an open goal as well as his header which was over from 10 yards and then the effort off post from Velts. Those all went in at Forest for them whereas Chelsea for all their possession didn't manage clear cut chances. So, defensively, we've improved massively since Forest. A kick up the proverbials for us!

Curious but why would Fabian tell Dunk one week to slow things down, and then near enough the next game completely give the opposite instruction though?

Horses for courses. Sometimes in a game, you slow things down to frustrate the opposition, other times you pass the ball round to open up spaces in a tight defence etc etc.

Whatever it is, the last few weeks will be career defining moments for Hurzeler and many of the players. Losing heavily and then responding with back to back wins against another Top 4 team should instill huge resilience should another hefty loss comes their way later down the line in their careers.

I wonder if European football will help us. Or rather, those around us having to play more matches because of European commitments.

If form has picked up, and the team are starting to gel, it'll be an exciting second half of the season.

Although, to be further pedantic, I might counsel that Preston only played 22 matches in the league that season and that Southern teams still only had a fledgling status, despite advancing in the FA Cup

You are both wrong, you forgot Palace who went undefeated for a hundred years or so before the next oldest football club was created.

Including the Forest game, our aggregate score over the last 4 games is 9-8 in our favour

In just the league for the three, it’s 7-7

I was pretty vocal after Forest.

Said I needed to see a reaction.
I'm more than satisfied with what has been done since.

3 games that have been complete 90 minute performances.

Much more assured at the back.
And some exciting, quick, attacking play.

Should have been Saints third 9-0 today.
Amazed to see our xg was only 4.01.
Thought that was just for Minteh...

Great stuff

FAB. IN!

I would love to know what was said and by whom in the dressing room and the day after at the training ground, not that we ever will, because we are too well run as a club.

But it certainly seems to have had an effect
Maybe can we have our midfield back, missing Baleba causes many issues

I don't remember Fab ever talking about injuries after the games we had failed to perform, but it does seem to be that the less injuries we have, the better we play
