[Albion] Buying tickets for West Ham game for friends coming over from the USA

I'm a season ticket holder and would like to buy tickets for the West Ham game on April 26 for some friends visiting from the USA. I have not done this before but I believe I need to get them to register with the club, then I buy the tickets when they become available and transfer them. I will check with the club tomorrow but wonder what other fans have done when they bought tickets for overseas visitors and how easy it was.
