Recency bias (and drunken bias), but I think Mitoma’s goal was even better than Enciso’s. That touch was so sublime. Which then got me thinking, has there been a better Brighton goal? I’m talking purely for skill (not excitement, like the Virgo play off goal or Ulloa late play off gaining goal)

This thread will invariably end up with a bunch of smart arses quoting goals scored with no video evidence.

For the record, I have been watching the Albion since 1988 and it was technically the best goal I have seen.

Loved Andones v Palace. That was one hell of a goal. KLL also scored couple crackers at Withdean in successive games. Sidwell at Ashton, Bobbys of course, and then…there have been many many more ‘greatest ever’ goals in Albions history. Same at every club.

I always thought his last gasp winner v Liverpool in the cup two years did not get the praise it deserved - he controls it on his thigh , and as its rising, flicks it in midair with the outside of his right foot into the Liverpool net.
There was also one I remember Aaron Mooy scoring against Bournemouth , which had a Bergkamp like element to it - I think Trossard flicked it into him, and Mooy flicked it past the defender to score with what I remember as just one movement of his boot.

That tonight was the best goal I can remember. It was unbelievable, world class skill. Very few players who have ever played the game could have done that.

It’s in a different league to Enciso’s V City for me.
