Has some weaknesses in the ball played over the top of him at full back, sometimes out of position and choosing a physical battle with whoever he is marking (generally they are whole foot taller) at corners.

Will always give all for the team whether played in position or not, good squad member, supportive and positive character to have around and as much a match winner as having any weaknesses. If his value is £1.5m it's probably a no brainer to try and hold him.

A couple of mistakes but made up for it by putting himself in the conversation for MotM.

When he pushes up, it’s really like having two wingers, Chelsea struggled with that a lot.

Of late he's either been our most exciting bestest player in the whole wild world

Been caught out of position and dismissed as a f***ing liability who should never be allowed within gobbing distance of a football pitch.

Gusto for Chelsea usually offers a lot for them going forward, but last night very little. Lamptey & Mitoma combo worked incredibly well & kept him back in his place.

My MOTM last night. Be mad to not offer him a 2 year deal, even if it means we can get something for him. Brilliant little player when fit. He’s been here years and gets the club. Will be sad to see him go.
I would be amazed if we haven't offered him a deal. Most likely he's just mulling it over and seeing what other interest there is.

But with his injury record he would be well advised to secure a deal with us or another sooner rather than later

I like Lamptey, but surely we cannot offer him a new deal. His injury record speaks for itself and when he does play he has just as many shockers as he does good games. Feel like we can reinvest this money better elsewhere. May aswell offer Milner a another 12 months whilst we're at it.

Had we assumed that a player who's suffered with injuries will always suffer with them, we'd never have signed Danny Welbeck. I'd also be happy if we offered Milner a new contract but as a coach.

I don’t care about Chelsea,
They mean nothing to me,
All I care about, is Tariq Lamptey

The match thread is NSC Gold. It starts with pages of slagging off Lamptey as a liability and a disaster who should never be allowed on a football pitch in blue and white and it ends with him Man of the Match and pages singing his praise 🤣
