How any of you got a 2 Heaven knows - ridiculous spelling - how do they pronounce it then? Shouldn’t be allowed!

Took a minute due to the spelling but there were no other options. I referred to the dictionary after and apparently they pronounce it quite differently across the pond too
Had a peek at the WordleBot and he assured me I'd had 2 options after my opening gambit. A little research led me to the word
snath, which, of course, is the handle of a scythe 
That being the answer would have riled people more than today's Americanism. Saying that, it seems snath is often written as snathe in British English too

Good research Bakero but I still think it’s a silly word - I only got it through having all sensible answers ruled out and then guessing!

Oh, I agree. I only got it as there were no "real" options. I'm fully expecting the baader meinhoff phenomenon to kick in this week though and I'll be hearing that word with American pronunciation on repeat.
Assumed the average would be higher than 3.7 … infrequent word.

when I put it in I was half expecting “not in word list” to come up, tempered by “maybe they spell it differently”
