$514 for a pair of tickets to see Denver Broncos against the Kansas City Chiefs back in 2018.

Been a Broncos fan since 1986 and it was the first and only time (so far) I’ve been to Denver so wanted to get good tickets.

$200 for my seat in the 100 level of the Superdome in New Orleans for Wrestlemania 34 in 2018. Zero regrets as it was a proper bucket list trip as a diehard wrestling fan for over a decade at that point.

Considering the whole show took place on one night back then, it's probably a bargain considering a similar seat/view for Mania 41 in Vegas this year will cost $1k for the two nights.

Vancouver Canucks tickets are $200 (£112) for nosebleeds, a beer will set you back $23 (£13)
Vancouver Canucks, are they wading birds or something ? That's an expensive nature reserve.

A lot for the 2007 Led Zeppelin show at the O2, but the vast majority of what I paid went to REMF. To this day one of the top three gigs I’ve ever been to.

Paid a healthy amount for VIP tickets for Kerry Mayo’s testimonial too, and that was just brilliant.

The dull part of the south coast
Two things to add to this thread :

1. Barnet v Brighton FA Cup tie at the Underhill ground (1981 I think). The greedy buggers charged £6.00 entrance fee. My Cup Final ticket in 1983 was £5.00!!

2. The biggest OMG story. A cricket loving couple I know bought tickets for flights and hotel accommodation to watch England in Australia for the 2006/7 Ashes tour. They also managed to buy tickets for the fourth and fifth days of the final test. Oh dear, the Aussies trounced the Poms 5-0 in the series and won the final test on the third day. Ouch! :tantrum:

The problem with the gigs for the big stars is that when you finally get to the front of the vast online queue even on a faux ‘special invitation’ presale, the £110 and £170 tickets have gone. Or was it a slight of hand in the first place?
Pre-sale tickets are always restricted. The bulk go on general sale.

And there are often multiple presales these days - artist, venue, sponsor, credit card etc.

£280 for 2 James Blunt tickets at The Albert Hall. Absolutely not my bag, but the brownie points I got from Mrs P made it worth it 👍
