I looked on my iTunes (or whatever it is called now). I've been using that for 21 years, so it records the songs I've played in that time. The top 15 are all classical with Dives and Lazarus from Ralph Vaughan Williams at number 1 with 305 plays.

The most played non-classical song is Last Year's Shoes from The Mutton Birds with 222 plays. Definitely a preference for the minor key from me.

Here they are:

A song that is both brilliant and has real resonance for me ( but this could have been a number of different songs, one is not enough!)

Very difficult.

Not a song that means anything to me particularly, but if I was to have to pick the "mona lisa" of pop tunes I'd have to award it to Let It Be. It has that timeless hymn like quality that Bridge Over Troubled Water has.

Clichéd choice, but I think there s a reason for that.

Radiohead - Let Down. Your Number One best song of all time ? I revisit many times as so relateable here for me the build up and layers added is incredible. It is a stunning work

Let Down might be a very close second, as could a lot of other Radiohead stuff.

But my all time is still I Am the Walrus by The Beatles.

As a teenage fantasist I could never decide which band member I’d want to be most when re-enacting this concert in my bedroom.
Peak Cure.
