Aside from this issue, I think she is just about unwatchable. How she continues to nail down that job is amazing: she is a preening and clumsy broadcaster given to a weird mixture of stridency and chummy over-familiarity. She is also blessed with the worst fake laugh on TV. She is the best argument for the BBC news channel.

Her mum loves her.

Kay Burley needs to back off a bit. Control the interview don't try to be the 'star'. Dreadful woman!
Imagine if she was heading Question Time.

It was rude of David Davies to get his phone out, but he wasn't being patronising.

Sky News presenter Kay Burley has announced she is retiring from the network after 36 years.

Closing the channel's breakfast programme on Wednesday, Burley said it had been "an honour and a privilege to work with some of the best and hardest working teams in the business".

Worth remembering she was the only person probably in the entire world to exaggerate the 9/11 attacks by declaring live on Sky News that the entire eastern seaboard of the US was under attack

I won’t miss her

Haven't watched since the Covid episode and her 60th birthday party.
Always seems to be 'better' than everyone else and speaks down to people.
May go back now as money saving on BBC News means even they aren't as good as they used to be.
Why use the word 'Quit' though? Has she walked out today or handed in her notice?

I used to work near the Lindo Wing. Encountered Ms. Burley while she was covering the imminent arrival of a new member of the Royal Family (Charlotte, IIRC). She wasn’t on camera, but was surprisingly friendly, given her onscreen persona.

This brief encounter aside, some of her interviews were truly cringeworthy.
