I was expecting a drop off but hoped for top half of the table, probably around the lower places. We had a great start, which I think inflated a lot of people’s expectations.

We're 10th, but would it really be that surprising if Palace, Brentford, West Ham (even Everton) catch us up / overtake us? 13, 14, 15 wouldn't be that surprising. (And that's hoping Tottenham and Man U don't start picking up results).
I agree. I wouldnt be totally surprised. We’ve got 12 points from the last 12 games. Extrapolate that forward and 14th or thereabouts would be likely.
If that happens I’m expecting a new manager.
However, I agree with Ike and Tina Burner above. Performances and identity are also important. I’ve not seen that from FH.

Do you think any of the players we signed are PL ready players? Don’t think we could afford those sort of wages. The transfer fees reflects their potential and are an informed gamble by TB.
I think we can afford the wages of Premier League ready players. There’s a difference between people with proven experience and the very high earners.

We have Welbeck and Milner but the issue is you can’t have a team of these sort of players as it’s not sustainable financially nor for the longevity of the team. So not really clear what profile of player it’s being suggested we should have spent £200m on instead.

It's difficult to know what to expect.

What I hope is another top ten finish and a cup win. I really, really want us to get some silverware out of these golden years.

Actually one thing I do expect is that if we have a slow start, which is entirely possible with our opening fixtures, a whole load of people will go into meltdown.
I got the meltdown date wrong. I didn't foresee a mid season one.

I think there is justification for a mild one but not for the level of hysteria we've seen over the last few days.

For Tony’s outlay in the transfer window he was probably expecting a little bit more at this point.

That said, still plenty of points on the board left to play for.

Not sure Fab actually knows what his style of play is and makes it up as the season progresses. Watching the players they certainly don't. Not sure why we signed so many wingers when the remit appears to be never take the fullback on incase you lose the ball. Just to string a good 90 minutes together would be a plus
