Another great gone. Was in so many things after George & Mildred ended including working with Catherine Tate in her sketch show.

Strangely I was only watching some retrospective about George & Mildred on channel 5 at the weekend which makes this all the more poignant.

They've been doing repeats of George and Mildred on I think ITV2. Quality comedy and one that some Channel 4 so called comedy writers would do well to watch, listen, look and learn from.

RIP Brian and thanks for the laughs.....

100%. Maybe even a message to *all* current comedy writers - who seem to think that what they produce is any way even mildly funny. They produce utter bollox.

Just watched a 'Man about the house' documentary in tribute to Brian.

What a wonderful cast doing gentle, funny comedy. Richard O'sullivan, Paula Wilcox, Sally Thomsett, Yootha Joyce and Brian Murphy and still as funny 50 years on

A true comedy legend - can’t believe the lady who played Mildred passed away so long ago in 1980 . Classic sitcom.
Yootha was a bit of a vulnerable indulger, having been very hot in her yoof. Pure filth territory. An English Lotte Lenya.

As for Brian, I hope I can last that long.

RIP

A name most people will only know as she is referenced in Mack The Knife
And let's not forget Rosa Klebb

In the book, Bond was killed as Fleming wanted to end the series.
He relented and the narrative was the tetrodotoxin arrested his respiration but he was ventilated for months as he recovered...
This is plausible pharmacology. TTX irreversibly blocks Na channels in nerves.
To recover you need to resynthesize new Na channels.
This can take months.
