Great we got Tzimas. Really think we’ve done well to move quickly and get a complicated deal over the line. Outside of that it looks like several glaring weaknesses have been deferred and we’ve taking a huge gamble in allowing Enciso and Ferguson to be loaned out. Even letting Moder go looks questionable after Saturday!

Pretty good but I’m a little gutted we didn’t land a full back.

Happy to keep Lamptey until he leaves on a free in the summer, Tzimas could be amazing for us and Cashin probably offers better cover than the departed McConville at centre back.

I doubt we’ll get Watson in the summer now as FFP will re-set and we’ll be out-bid. We must have come pretty close though at the end.

Loans for Enciso and Ferguson are good chances for them to get lots of minutes. Neither was near starting for us.

We didn’t recall Facu, Hopefully he gets some meaningful minutes, that might mean old horse-face getting the sack though. I suspect he will once Leicester’s fate is accepted.

Just like the last January window, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get injuries in all the wrong places now such as up front. It would be typical of our recent luck with injuries to lose Welbz, Pedro and Rutter in the next month with no Fergie or Enciso to replace them! 🤡

Good, very pleased with it.

Made a little bit of money from selling a few youngsters and loaned out Enciso and Ferguson which I always wanted us to do.

Brought in a defender, CM and striker and all young and really promising.

I would have sold Lamptey and brought in a new RB in a perfect world but maybe we can use Hinshelwood there again.

So good window but I just wish we had a manager I felt more confident in to use these players correctly.

I'll give you it's good that Enciso and Ferguson are only loans, not departures for good .................... the rest? I must admit my enthusiasm isn't causing hyperventilation (which might be good for my health, but for the Albion?)

I see Zak Sturge (remember him?) has gone from Chelsea to Millwall on loan.
He was due to move to Venezia on a permanent deal at the end of the summer window but it fell through:-

Millwall now have four former Albion players on their books.

Glad Lamptey is still here and didn’t go for 45p or whatever the deal was, and that we didn’t get sucked into a ridiculous deal of Adringa plus cash for Watson.

Pleased enough with the likes of Cashin and Tzimas coming in.

Overall, still a little disappointed with the trend of loaning out players that were once seen as our future - Ferguson, Enciso, Barco, Buannotte etc - when it doesn’t feel we’ve fully tried for the best of them here yet. I love seeing an exciting prospect blossom in the stripes. But I guess that’s modern PL football, and I just need to get used to it.

Pants for the here and now.

We've lost 2 first team squad attackers in Enciso and Ferguson, and bought one whose not here this season, and failed to get another.

Our striking options are weaker than 2 weeks ago.
I remember Oscar Garcia saying the same, you use the January window to strengthen not weaken the January we sold Barnes and didn’t replace him.

If Welbeck does get injured and we have to play Rutter or Pedro (neither of which are strikers) upfront that isn’t down to “our recent luck”, it’s negligence.

It might not sit well with our fans, but to compete where we’re competing amoung the richest clubs in the world, things have to be done a bit differently.

We might not like that the focus isn’t the here and now, but perhaps that’s what financial sustainability looks like for this size of club in the PL.

We will be going into our 9th consecutive top flight season likely disappointed with a campaign largely fought in mid table.

Progress is never linear.
