He'll be very difficult to replace

-incredible attitude
-brilliant mentor to younger players
-big game experience
-chips in with goals
-makes EVERY other attacking player play better
-link up play is second to none

And to top it off he was a free transfer!
The MOTD2 analysis showed a good example v Man U (wasn’t really focused on Danny)…….when Baleba clipped the long pass to Mitoma for the first goal, he had so much space in part because Danny had dropped and dragged one of the defenders with him leaving a huge gap. He does this all the time….so intelligent. Must be a manager’s dream to have in the squad.

It his going to turn into another "Fab is a fraud and only gets results when..." thread?

  1. Fab is a fraud and only gets results when the senior pros run the dressing room
  2. Fab is a fraud and only gets results when he has a senior assistant
  3. Fab is a fraud and only gets results when the opposition are poor

Recency bias.
How did things look after 3 wins in a row?

This club is being moulded into establishing itself into a regular top 10 Premier League finisher.
We all want better than that, but just pause for a moment and reflect on what an achievement that is.

Too many people are far too reactive to when a negative result happens.
There is nothing wrong in being pissed off and upset when we lose but that doesn't mean the bigger picture is wrong.

Just trust Giraffe's Tracker.

3 wins in a row against a terrible Norwich team, terrible Ipswich Team and a terrible Man U team. I expect us to win those games with the resources at our disposal. But we have been playing shite for many many weeks now and been very lucky in quite a few matches which has papered over the cracks.

It was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but he was recruited to help Fab. Not much sign of that so far, although tbf he's only been in the role a few weeks.

Except until the Norwich game we looked unable to beat any "terrible" sides - let's not pretend that wasn't the recurring complaint around here for much of the season. Credit where credit is due, you can only play the team in front of you.

No we haven't.
Since that horrible display against Palace that hurt us all, we've played well at West Ham, okay against Brentford, could have won at Villa, played well against Arsenal, won well at Norwich and Ipswich, collected our usual 3 points at Old Trafford, before two shit results against Everton and Forest.

We have not been "playing shite for many many weeks now".

Admittedly we have been inconsistent, but with the injuries we have suffered we remain in the top half of the table.

This, a championship side x 3 effectively. The next test against a couple of decent managers who know their stuff and we concede 8 goals with no reply.

Oh look, someone ELSE to blame!

If the chief groundsperson plays their cards right, they'll get a mention in despatches before too long too...

Surely I can’t be the only one who thinks this is laughable. A PL club who hires a manager and then decides he needs baby sitting
Surely that’s time to admit we made a blunder here guys.

The tea lady at the training ground will be facing a performance review shortly as well

I agree BUT then we did lose to a 'terrible' Everton side at home, I shall be corrected I'm sure but I don't think we've done badly against 'terrible' sides away over the years.

What are you on about?! Babysitting? It’s another coach, which was always planned. ANY other coach is likely to be older or more experienced than FH. Is he not allowed other coaches in his team? People on here have just invented this storyline of us panicking & bringing in another older coach to help that wasn’t originally planned. Some of the stuff on here recently is pure fiction.

It’s called mentoring, not baby sitting. Ever heard of continuous improvement? Fab is a coach who is still learning so having an experienced coach alongside him to bounce his ideas off will hopefully make him a better manager.
