I'm sure you're right but is Ferdi out for the season? I know Igor is but I hadn't heard it confirmed about Kadioglu. Looked like he was at least in the gym in the last update.

According to Turkish media Ferdi suffered a tear to his capsule tendon on his big toe. Surgery normally takes 4-6 months to recover from. That would more than likely rule him out for the rest of the season. Even if he recovers quicker he’s still got to get match fitness etc would means game time before the end of the season is likely to limited.

This post on X claims to have the scoop

The weird thing is, before I saw that tweet, I had pegged Baleba and Ayari most likely to score from outside the box against Forest tomorrow.

I don’t fancy Milner, O’Riley or Weiffer (although I thought Milner and Weiffer were still out?) . Baleba and Ayari (with Rutter as a 10) are by far our best midfielders imo..so are they injured too?

If true - perhaps illness ? - then Hurzeler options are Hinshelwood, Gomez, O Riley and possibly Gruda. Joe Knight is the obvious u21 on bench.

Sounds like Wieffer will be a few weeks yet.

Have we had a game this season where there isn't a new injury doubt for it?

Thing is, last season it was blamed on Europe, extra games, less rest, not used to it blah blah.
This season is more of the same and we have a new medical team. Minor injuries seem to turn into long ones...
What on earth is going on? New manager with new ideas, new doctor, who was presumably seen as the messiah, and the same old injury list - I have followed the Albion for 64 years and never known anything like this -can it really be coincidence that we seemingly have so many training ground injuries over the last two seasons? Seems very fanciful, I know, but might the type of grass used on a daily basis have had an effect in that muscular issues follow on depressingly regularly.
