Per Naylor Georginio has not been starting this month due to small muscle issues, minutes being managed. Likely the same we heard about after Norwich

A three month lay off incoming with a “minor” injury then

Interesting O’Riley has covered more ground than any other player he’s also a goal scoring midfielder. I don’t think FH rates him whatsoever
Another one who has mostly looked like a passenger when played since his debut goal, although I think he has also had an assist. Maybe give him a few games on the bounce from the off to try and get him up to speed.

And worth the matchday thread "he doesn’t know what he's doing" crew reading the FH quote:

“There have been some small issues with his muscles and therefore we also need to protect his health. I know that it is not always understandable why we choose the starting XI, but there are so many things going on.

“The main thing for me is that I am responsible also for the person behind the player, to protect him, to protect his health.”

Feels like we've got about 5 minutes of football from Weiffer, Kadioglu and O'Riley. What a shitshow.
Wieffer has played 584 minutes , O Riley 430mins and Kadioglu 430 mins.
Kadioglu is out for the season (1 goal v Liverpool) . O Riley has started 5 games since recovering from his injury in November (1 goal, 1 assist) and is fit. Wieffer made 13 apps (1 goal, 1 assist) since being ruled out at Christmas with a leg injury.

Don't forget Ferdi's goal against Wolves in the cup

It's depressing! And there's no point making Europe unless we can get to the bottom of the injury situation. Can you imagine what a nightmare this season would have been with extra games?!

It would have been at least 8 extra match days, even if we went straight out.

At the rate we get injuries, we'd basically be playing the under 15s by now

I'm sure you're right but is Ferdi out for the season? I know Igor is but I hadn't heard it confirmed about Kadioglu. Looked like he was at least in the gym in the last update.
I think he has a rare case of Linekar’s Toe.

An annoying little injury that can cause a huge amount of discomfort and be very difficult to treat.

Ok although he still played the majority of one half he could have started and then been subbed.

Like Igor expected to be back no sooner than April which with setbacks could mean we don't see him play again until next season
