Great news.
Mitoma is not just our best player he brings in a lot of money to the club through the Japanese fan base. The likes of Adingra and Minteh don't cut it, they're not Mitoma's level. Mitoma is someone who can win a game out of nowhere. 90 million probably buys you two players who are unlikely to be Mitoma level. It's easy to waste 90 million these days.
maybe he's looking at footie as a long-term career in which being a player is just a part of it....A clear footballing decision from our Kaoru, apart from being an incredible talent, he’s also a student of the game. Eventually we will lose him, probably to a club that guarantees him CL football. However, for now, he’s still our boy, and will continue to do his best for BHA, no tantrums, or tools down, unlike Tossard.
How many hands!!
You never know when they're going to chop one off - it's sensible to travel with at least one spare. How many hands!!
I never quite understand the line “no matter what was offered” because it is nonsense. If they offered 10 billion then obviously we would. From BBC...
''The south coast club turned down a 65m euro (£54.42m) bid from the Saudi Pro-League side, but had expected a further offer.
However, in additional communication between the two clubs, Brighton underlined they had no need to sell the 27-year-old and would not be changing their stance, no matter what was offered.
Brighton also felt Mitoma had no interest in leaving the Amex Stadium. Consequently, Al-Nassr now accept the deal will not happen.''
Well done Tony and Kaoru for turning down all that cash!
I’m delighted he’s staying. Whilst I voted yes to take £90m as, in my opinion it was a great price, I’m more pleased he’s a top bloke who wants to stay at least for the rest of this season.
Thank God he won't beheading offYou never know when they're going to chop one off - it's sensible to travel with at least one spare.
Post 181 from Alex Crook?Well done the club, but I think people are making a big assumption if they think that Mitoma himself had no interest in a move. I'd like to think that's the case, but is there any evidence?
ERNEST and his PUSSY are backMe and my TERRY are ready with our Ford CARPI to drive him there ourselves for that KIND of money .

On my wages, absolutely. But Mitoma is going to retire a multi millionaire even if he sees out his career with us. I can only imagine what his marketing / advertising / sponsorship /endorsement earnings are! His post playing income is not going to be too shabby either.Imagine another company offering you eight, nine or ten times your current salary and turning it down? Football, bloody hell indeed.
