the best deal I could get at a VW dealer for a new car was £900 off the List Price.

Drivethedeal have offered £9k off.

I don’t pay them, I pay a main dealer, they say.

5.0 on Trustpilot, 4.9 on Google. With hundreds of reviews.

Can I trust them?? Or is it all too good to be true?

Thanks.

Are they effectively doing a similar search and buy service that Carwow does? If so, and you are still buying from a main dealer but at a cheaper price than you could arrange on your own, then I can’t see the problem myself?

I bought a new VW through them in 2009. Yes, trustworthy, as were the dealers. Who delivered the car to my home from Gloucester at no charge …. I had been prepared to get trains there.
Thanks!

When they delivered it, I assume they drove the car to you (ie, they didn’t put it on the back of a lorry to deliver it)?

I used Carwow for my last car 8 years ago. Got a great price and it was brilliant to have dealerships fighting over my custom, rather than the usual one-sided bartering.
Yeah, that was the other broker I used to get a price.

They offered £2.5k discount (vs £900 from main dealer vs £9k from dtivethedeal). Some of the online reviews I’ve read say that drivethedeal are particularly good for VAG cars (I’m getting a VW).

16 years ago, sorry I can’t remember. I’ve had several new cars, some do that, others driven down and they get trains home. Obviously adds the same mileage you would’ve clocked up yourself from the dealers.
