Dunk and O’Riley are doubts for the weekend. Gruda and Hinshelwood should be fit.
This is why I still think that if can we should sign a CB in THIS window, even if on loan. Dunk is showing signs of wear and tear, Igor out and we can't rely on Webster to stay fit for any period of time. It's a big risk IMO.

With Hinshelwood back and his ability to play RB, it does mean that we could use Veltman as CB if necessary.
Obviously playing Webster would be first option if Dunk is injured.

But yes, it means we have another option which we'll need if we get further injuries in either full back positions. All I would say is that the lad is likely to be needed to be eased back after a long absence

I can see Jack H being on the bench and only getting a few minutes Saturday. He'll needs to be eased back.

I can see Solly getting more minutes on Saturday but again from off the bench.

FH was asked this question directly in a press conference when he announced Igor was out for the season. He said it was far from ideal but mentioned Veltman first as an alternative, and then McConville(?) also saying that Carlos had played there too.

In the press conference when Fab was asked about the possibility of attacking reinforcements in the transfer window, he replied that defence was more of a need for us.

I therefore expect a defender to be signed this window. (easy enough)

So frustrating. Lamps did well overall tbf but it didn’t help. Also this doesnt/

It emerged afterwards that Yankuba Minteh, who scored one and assisted another in the 3-1 win at Old Trafford, was left out of the starting XI by Hurzeler after reporting late for pre-match preparations.
