Has to be this for me:

Absolutely incredible scenes, one of the biggest upsets in sporting history. It was massive at the time and is still widely known in Japan as the “Miracle in Brighton”.

Try not to get goosebumps watching that!

It was an awesome achievement, not least because they could have taken an easy draw during that sequence of play.

So I have to agree with you, and with a little regret. I turned down the chance to attend the match because I thought it would be too one sided....

In fairness, South Africa gave it a go.

For me it it was the Friday night game against Sheff Wednesday. We were about to go a goal down after conceding a penalty and having a player sent off. A Stockpot double save and we ended up winning the game with more players in the pitch than the opponents.

This is the sort of magic, brilliance and good fortune which favours the successful, this was the precise moment I knew we were finally on our way.

I think I’d even vote for something that happened in one of the women’s games over the rugby.

That goal against Marseille.
Best limbs ever at the Amex.
I think that was definitely my favourite goal. The Wigan hame was amazing but we all knew we were going up already, there wasn’t a particular moment that stood out. Although the second pitch invasion was fun.

Honorary mention to that 20 minute period in the second half against Man Utd under Potter when it felt like we scored every time we got the ball. I’d only ever seen us dominate a team like that once before in 35 years, in the 3-0 away to Peterborough in the league one promotion season. And this was happening against Man Utd with one of the greatest players that has ever lived on the pitch. And it was my son’s first ever win, after three years of trying.

Can't really choose between Wigan, Donny, Marseille and the rugby to be honest.

By the way, the Amex has only been around for 15 years or so and half of those events don't have any sort of equivalence at the shit-tip that is Selhurst, despite a 100-year head start. Says it all about the gulf in class between the two clubs.
