Has anyone had a pair of these? Thinking of getting a pair for commute/loud theatre/gigs (don’t think I’ll need them at the Amex :lol: )

Any good? Looking at the Loop Experience 2 set for £30, but they seem pricey for what are basically a couple of small pieces of rubber and plastic. Are they that much better than others in practice, or is this a branding/coolness thing?

I have some and find they do the job well, far less ringing in the ears after a gig. Nice and easy to pop in and out too.

I have been using those foam ones for years at night and they always did the job.
Missus bought me some loop ones for Christmas and I think they're brilliant.
Bit fiddly to stick in and get right, but once they're in they knock spots off the foam ones

Ah this is good to read. I've been thinking about switching from foam ones (disposable, probs not great for the environment) to something re-usable like Loop

How much is the “filter out excess noise, but still able to hear conversations” actually bollocks, though? I’m no big city scientician, but that sounds like some kind of ear magic, when they’re just pieces of silicone? How does it work?

When I first used mine I thought they were doing nothing, I could barely tell the difference, but the difference was after the gig when I took them out and no ringing at all. Somehow they do seem to be a bit magic.

Can't speak for loop specifically but have been using these for gigs for years and they're pretty decent for the end of the price range. Can swap out insert for effectively low/med/hi protection. Definitely makes a big difference for ear protection in and after gigs. Added bonus is it actually clears up the sound a lot if it's not great, so I can hear better than my partner without them. https://www.alpinehearingprotection.co.uk/products/musicsafe-pro

Haven't flown or a few years now, but used to use them on planes because the noise drives me insane.
