We’re not improving at all.

We’ve spent £200m and we are less entertaining and less likely to score.

At the moment we are going backwards.
This is spot on. As a fan I hate to say but I do think Fab isn't the man to take us forward. I'd be amazed if he is here at the start of next season.
That was a dire performance, against the worst Everton side I've seen, nothing like the last 2 home games v them where they've smashed us on the break.
If anyone's happy with that being served up then we'll done.

Not really, it’s an opinion

i came away totally deflated
The result was clear when they won the penalty, it was game over, I should have gone home then.

You've already won the biggest overreaction prize, you don't need to win it again.

Well done Everton you surpassed Arsenal as the best team at time wasting …never seen so many players go down and roll around in apparent agony ….chats between goalie and centre back over a goal kick …absolutely amazing 🥸
I'm not sure they're quite at peak Emeri/VIlla levels but its mightily close

VAR won the game for Everton , how can they ignore the nudge on Veltman ? A decent ref would have given us a free kick.
We have been given a lot of leeway on VAR lately.

Swings and roundabouts.
Had no doubt what would happen, when I saw it live.

Ref was always going to be sent to the screen and it was always going to be given.

Annoying.

Not starting with the players who assisted or scored all of our goals in the last game really does need a bit of explaining. I really think he's overthinking it sometimes. Just play your best team and get a run of games going.

we were so much better with them both on (still shite, just better).

I knew it was going to be one of those days when we did the usual thing against teams like this. They immediately settled into that slow, defensive, bitty way of playing and our energy immediately dropped to meet theirs. It feels like I've watched that game so many times over the last 3 years. It's like the players switch off because the other team isn't coming at them. They grab a goal and then we only wake up when it's too late.

Compare that to away games, or games against bigger teams and the adrenaline is high and we go at it from the start.

We could have played for 3 weeks and never scored then as we did the same diametric passing set followed by and in effective cross, over and over again.

Fair play to Everton, played to their strengths and despite spending much of the second half without possession, defended resolutely and shìthoused themselves away from the relegation zone.

David Gilmour's armpit
Start all guns blazing, moving the ball fast and getting that first goal. Look at Bournemouth, playing high intensity football from the off.
We play slow sluggish football between, JP, Dunk, Veltman on repeat and plays right into their hands. Niave tactics from Fab and I'm afraid, not starting Minteh and Georginio is totally bizarre.
This.
We are sooooo slow out of the blocks, and all it takes is something like that penalty and we're chasing the game. Good start to the second half....again...but too little, too late.

Start with your best team, move the ball faster, play with some passion, don't let your wild card player go to another team.
We're a very good team when we play with intensity.
We are very easy to defend against when we don't.

We play with much less intensity at home.

I have no idea why that is, but it's painful to watch at times.

At least the highlights video the club puts up on YouTube will be short. Hard to find more than 10 seconds of highlights against David "are you not entertained?" Moses' Everton.

Dunk and Veltman's passing stats must be something else. Of course, 90% of those passes were back and forth to each other.

Rest of the team must have been wondering when they'd get to play.
