"We played against a very disciplined team. We weren't clean enough in the first half and didn't force it enough. We did not have good box positioning and then we faced an opponent who tried to break the rhythm all the time. Then it's very difficult."

"When the referee says that he won't send a player off for time wasting that says it all really. I don't understand. When the rules are like this then you could send someone off. The referees should use it."

"We are honest with each other, self-critical and that is why we have to keep working. Next game we will analyse what went wrong, what we have to improve and keep going."
That’s a very strange way of saying “I had a mare today”.

...... and let the scapegoating begin, let's fixate on FH, because it's all his fault, even though that's only the 5th game we've lost in 23.

I find it fascinating that the forum is all sweetness and light following 3 wins on the bounce, but we get a result we don't like, the knives come out!

Everton were excellent today, game plan worked and we'd had got a draw if it wasn't for a hopeful ball over the top causing Joel's brain fart - but of course that's down to FH's coaching ;-)

It's not easy playing against a brick wall when the other side has no intention of attacking - it's the tried and tested way of getting a point or nicking 3 - great teams sometimes struggle to break them down, we're just a good team imho....

Anyway, got to love the PL - Nuno is obviously a cack manager, how can he get NF to 3rd in the PL and then get spanked 5-0 at Muff?
Post of the thread. 👍🏻

We really can’t play that much football with Everton players dropping to the ground every few minutes. It’s anti-football and it can be an incredibly successful tactic. Thank Tony we don’t EVER play it.

I love Encisco, but he's been underwhelming this season - hope he has a stormer at Ipswich and comes back to us, but he's probably off.
Came on as a sub and apparently was lucky not to have been sent off within a minute of coming on. Then got the assist for Ipswich’s goal.

Ipswich won 1 0 when Enciso was on the pitch

Brighton factually.....
And the prize for the biggest overreaction goes to....

(I'm very pissed off ftr, but jesus..)
Not really, it’s an opinion

i came away totally deflated
The result was clear when they won the penalty, it was game over, I should have gone home then.

i do actually miss the Albion of old in the lower leagues to an extent, promotion, relegation, the drama
Games like these, bore me, the VAR, the low block, the entitlement….

Possibly we reached our ceiling the night we beat Marseille at home…..

having said that, it’s very Brighton to beat Forest and Chelsea….

Just Fkn infuriating

I get that. Although it’s hard to argue someone who’s played so little has been underwhelming.

I just don’t think we have a player like him in our squad, and today is exactly the kind of game where you want an Enciso to bring on.

Deepest, darkest Sussex
Dycheball

And sure enough Albion picked up their annual “Fell for it again” trophy this season

Veltman both pulled back and tripped before he foolishly handles it. We'd probably have won without that decision as surely Everton wouldn't have tried to anti football their way to a draw?
I saw no evidence we’d have broken the low block down unless we got lucky with an Everton mistake or a deflection where Everton had all the luck today. Almost every loose ball went to en Everton player.

35 minutes (so far) queueing to get out of the car park, must be some buses parked in the way somewhere up ahead.

Everton were excellent? Sorry, you’ve lost me. Everton were the worst side I’ve seen this season, and they beat us. Well, we beat us.

And no, it’s not easy playing against a brick wall, but what did FH expect? What did he plan for? Does he know nothing about David Moyes teams?

That’s the problem… there’s never a plan. His subs were atrocious. Even he couldn’t make his mind up about what he wanted to do when they went 1-0 up.
