...... and let the scapegoating begin, let's fixate on FH, because it's all his fault, even though that's only the 5th game we've lost in 23.

I find it fascinating that the forum is all sweetness and light following 3 wins on the bounce, but we get a result we don't like, the knives come out!

Everton were excellent today, game plan worked and we'd had got a draw if it wasn't for a hopeful ball over the top causing Joel's brain fart - but of course that's down to FH's coaching ;-)

It's not easy playing against a brick wall when the other side has no intention of attacking - it's the tried and tested way of getting a point or nicking 3 - great teams sometimes struggle to break them down, we're just a good team imho....

Anyway, got to love the PL - Nuno is obviously a cack manager, how can he get NF to 3rd in the PL and then get spanked 5-0 at Muff?
1 shot on target. Didn't look like scoring in 105 minutes.

So, still unable to take points from the weakest reams in our league, always bemoaning how they employ a low block against us, still playing dull boring football in front of our own fans.

is that really good enough?

Our two best players last Sunday don't even get a start today. Ridiculous decisions by Hurzeler. What is he thinking?
I think he has started to believe in his own hype and started to come across as a bit arrogant, which is the trait of a disaster waiting to happen. Is he trying to keep some of his players happy By not playing his best, in form players? Whatever - it didn’t work.

Was it three sub sessions they did? That would explain that...
Good point. They used one for the injury in the first half. Then two in the second and then got a further injury. I’d completely forgotten this law.

Thanks.

These games happen occasionally. Once they had the goal it was obvious they would defend for their lives. We were never going to break that down with tippy tappy. The only chance is to get everyone in the box, keep lumping it in there and hope for a second ball. We switched to that too late.
Occasionally? If only that were true.

Palace win tmorow 4 points behind. That would definitely be a sackable offence if they finish above us. We give em massive headstarts in points and then we nosedive below them again. Oh happy days

I still think one of the biggest problems objectively is our lack of continuity - not so much in results, but in terms of team selection.

I know we have a biggish squad and have had a lot of injuries but it can't be a coincidence that this up and down season is reflected in never starting the same 11 from one match to the next. If I'm right I don't think FH has picked the same 11 two games in a row this season.

This has to be a factor.

We just seem short of any creativity/ability inside or just outside the box. Most of our plays
seem to be hit and hope.
