Bit strange. Every article I’ve found says that he’s going nowhere this window ???

Apparently been offered to us by Barcelona
If he's been "offered" to us, he's been offered to everyone else as well.

Not sure what the wage of a back up Barca centre back would be, but someone like Tottenham need him more than us, which means that they will offer to cover more of his probably ridiculous pay packet

If I didn't know Barca better I would say they are trying to do some ultra short term cost cutting to try to get a star player signed for the rest of the season.

Bloom might be a little reticent regarding the no doubt big wages after Fati?

Not seen any reports linking Eric to Brighton in Catalan or Spanish media. Few days ago Como/Cesc reportedly offered 8m€ and he's been consistently linked with a move back to Girona where he was already loaned to last season and their coach Michel wants him back. I assume Girona would also be Eric's prefered destination if he will leave.

Today Sport says Flick doesn't want to let him go and he'll stay until June and then we'll see. His contract is up in 2026 and there was no talk about renewing so he'll probably be sold in summer for whatever we can get.

Still 10 days until end of this TW so a lot can happen but will be surprised if he'd leave on loan. I don't rate him too high but he's versatile squad player on relatively low wages so we wouldn't create much cap space by loaning him. We would need to sell Eric for at least 10m and then also have another player on higher wages (like Fati) go on loan so we could potentially maybe get another player on loan. Reports of Rashford but don't see them as realistic.
