A huge benefit of a ST is knowing you can attend each game but now knowi g you MUST attend all but 4 doesnt really provide that relief i can see this actually causing anxiety for some STH and that just isnt right the club pretend to care about mental health but this punitive measure just seems morally wrong.

But you don’t have to - you can simply list your seat on the exchange!

That's irrelevant. The issue is with fear of non-renewal, not obtaining refunds. As you know, airlines, train companies and gig promoters will never stop you using their services for non attendance previously.
Equally, you wouldn't buy an annual train season ticket if you weren't confident you'd use it for a third of days.

I do have sympathy with those who suffer illnesses.

But, equally, there are fans on here who admit to buying a season ticket with no intention of using it (much). And, no doubt, locals who are buying cheap STs and cherry-picking big games. There were 1000+ tickets on the exchange for Palace, FFS!

Totally reasonable for the club to add some basic 'expectations' in return for heavy discounts and monthly payment scheme, imo.

As long as you do it a minimum of 24 hours in advance, otherwise it doesn’t tick off your absence record. Then you get a telling off from the milk monitor.
Anyway, it won’t affect me next season, as I’m giving mine up.
I’ll still get to an occasional match on good days. After 63 years of support, I’ll still try.

You’re totally misunderstanding the proposal. Why not actually read it first before getting so wound up?

I predict that the same people will be making the same protest without reading the rules - as suggested by @Professor Plum

I don’t include you in this BTW. I understand how difficult it is for you and hope you feel up to getting to games when you can.
There are many more like me, believe me. I leave on 85 minutes so I can amble to the P&R bus without getting shoved around, and there are many of us getting on the bus with sticks, walkers, and crutches.

That's totally beyond the point. With trains you can book up a new seat on another day, with flights you can change it another day and you won't get punished!

Most flight tickets are absolutely no changes. Only the flexible variety that cost a fortune more allow changes.

I wonder if say the club imposed a penalty fee for not attending more than 4 matches say 50% pro rata per game instead of threat to withdraw the ST would that be more 'acceptable' ? Id be interested to know what involvement the FAB had and their input.

If you are concerned about not being able to make games due to last minute illness of themselves or family members or baby sister, train strikes/cancellations, other transport issues, issues at work before evening games meaning you won't finish in time, migraines etc etc maybe a season ticket isn’t for you? After all, STs are designed for people who can make such a commitment. If it isn’t practical then maybe buy match-by-match on the exchange?
How do you manage to avoid illness e.g.covid

Just seen that the villa game also clashes with a holiday in April so that will go to an Albion + or on the exchange. That will be 6 games at home I have missed. What is the threshold till they cancel your renewals?
Who goes on holiday in April, I thought that was what International Breaks were for.

Providing you list the ticket no issue in not being able to renew.

If, on top of last minute illness of themselves or family members or baby sister, train strikes/cancellations, other transport issues, issues at work before evening games meaning you won't finish in time, migraines and catching Covid 6 times a year and always on the day of a gsme, the simple ownership of a season ticket is also causing anxiety, then a season ticket clearly isn’t the best option.
