Who am I to tell them they are mistaken?
And so it goes.

There will come a day when it will be clear that the deciding votes for Trump were cast by people who will regret making that vote. So, "yes" you can tell those that voted for Trump that it truly was the wrong way to vote when they are not better off and suffering during his presidency and after it.

There are some things in life that decent people really cannot afford to get wrong and certainly not twice. Much of that inaugural speech was really scary....

More importantly the CIA would blow his head off if he tried to nuke something he's not supposed to.

Highly likely . . . It'd be somewhere like California . . . . . . . Has America ever had a proper fight in their own back yard? They normally go and f*** things up elsewhere, then run home telling everyone how great they were.

I'm suprised the NRA don't lobby for a home fixture, it'd be fantastic for business.

It could decimate the quantity of fuckniuckles in a matter of days, imagine if 200m turned on each other, with 3 guns each.

Elon Musk has just given a rather unusual salute during a speech at the Capital One Arena.

The electorate knew exactly what they were voting for (after all, they've had him for a full term previously). I'm not a Trump fan, but it looks as if they are getting what they voted for. That's democracy.

Only when they tried to beat the crap out of each other

The 1812 war between us and them was in their and our back yard. It stopped them from taking British Canada.
P S. we won and also about the same period beat the French. Them were the days

It’s the death of ’The American Dream’ or at least any pretence of American society aspiring to it.

Look how far musk and trump have come being born with only and emerald mine and massive property portfolio to start then off.

Impressive.

It was on at 3 here so I haven't seen it yet.

What about all the bits that explained how he is going to improve things for the working people in the rust belt? I was assured on here that they voted for him to improve their lot. They must be excited by his speech already?

Same as those who will regret voting Labour in 2024

Love him or hate him, it was a speech of hope, ambition and better things to come, (ok some BS)
But, contrast that with the UK talking down and doom loop.
There’s a reason why US GDP compared to EU has doubled in last 10 years. They want to get bigger, they want economic freedom and small state.
We gave them that 250 years ago…
We are the ones who don’t have ambition to grow
We are the US 4 years ago

I would think about as excited those in the UK voting for Starmer still waiting for the Promised Land.
