I think his comments on wanting to be involved in the Boro game so we can control our destiny show his captaincy credentials coming through. Was a fantastic leader for us.

Thanks AmexRuislip (where I'm from as well, incidentally). That was a really good article. I've still got my 96/97 squad mug with his signature on. He is one of the many players who has turned out for both clubs and I'm really chuffed he's done so well for the Albion as well as us.

I trained with Larry May and he was the same. Very encouraging, yet he could have taken the ball off me any time if he'd wanted.

My cousins know Danny Cullip ,went to school with him. His family are big Fulham fans and his old man ran a pub in Bracknell.Top bloke apparently, unfortunately he was one of the players who made way for the Al Fayed/Keegan revolution at Fulham

I knew someone who was an Albion player until released at 19, when Cullip was a senior pro. Said he was a nasty bastard in training … but said with respect.

Cullip was an Albion great imho, a brilliant CB. My MOTM in the Cardiff play off final, he won everything.

"Cullip is now working as a coach for Brighton & Hove Albion whilst also helping out at Worthing College running their academy 2nd team."

Indeed, but it also said citation needed and after Googling a while and searching on here under his name I couldn’t find any mentions of note since he won a AITC award with Guy Butters in 2016. Wondered if anyone here knows him.

I remember years ago, picking up my car from the Garage, I was chatting to the owners about how good Vicente was. The bloke next to me piped in with 'When someone has that much time, it really shows how they are head and shoulders'. It was Danny

Also had chats with Kuszczak, El Abd and a few others at the same Garage (now sadly gone )

And my favourite, 15 mins with Sir Norm while he was waiting to be picked up with his golf clubs after dropping off his car
