I often think Farage is the political equivalent of Vinnie Jones. Came out of nowhere with no actual talent apart from being very unpleasant. I think there would have been more chance of one of the world's top football clubs spunking £400k on VJ than that witless dumbf*ck becoming Prime Min......hang on......shit!!!!

Even less since 10 Reform councillors in Derbyshire resigned over Farage’s leadership.

When they defected to Reform they were under the illusion it is a political party with a leader and a strategy.
Now they find that it is a private company whose sole owner spends his time grifting on GBeebees and swanning off to America.
There is no 'party', no 'plan for Britain'.

Who knew?
I thought everyone knew, but, alas....

I'm not going to start a new thread, but as the riots followed this incident, I thought I would post the update here. He's due to be sentenced on Thursday.

A teenager has admitted to murdering three children in a horrifying mass stabbing at a Taylor Swift-themed holiday club in Southport which sparked widespread riots.

Axel Rudakubana, aged 18, also pleaded guilty to 10 charges of attempted murder following the frenzied knife attack which shocked the nation in summer last year, as well as producing the deadly poison ricin and possession of an al-Qaeda training manual.

Similarly, as the original thread is closed, don't want to start another one, but Ricky Jones trial now postponed until August.

You need to be very careful because public perception is that Farage is this great man of the people who draws immense popularity when in fact this is greatly exagerated, He is a great public speaker and speaks a language that ordinary people resonate with. It's only because he he is thrust on our TVs on an almost daily basis. Similarly the other cretin Richard Tice is platformed on a regular basis to bore everone on how immigration is the root of all evil, and never challenged on previous statements and predictions which are always false and misguided. Very seldom do you see representation from the greens or Lib dems. In a nutshell we have a heavily biased right wing media despite the electorate as a whole being left of centre

Not sure the relevance of Reform's polling if the next election is a good 4.5 years from now
I think that the relevance is that with elections in May (if they go ahead but that's another matter...) and Reform do well, and the Tories badly, the momentum will remain with Reform - the more momentum they have, the higher their polling goes, and so it goes on.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the internal power game in reform with more people realising it is just farage’s business. With Tice spending more time with his not integrated migrant girlfriend oakeshot in Dubai his argument about immigrants integrating is getting funnier. Farage will be spending more fluffing in America so the two patriots might lose interest from afar.

You could be right, but whilst The Tories are in such an appalling mess, and with a useless leader, they will continue to lose support - which has to go somewhere....

Possibly stay at home sitting on their arses.

For Reform to do well in local elections they will need candidates - they had enough trouble finding 600 odd for the last election. Quite how many they will find willing to put in the hours listening to complaints about potholes, dog mess bins and budgeting to repair the swings at the local park is anybody's guess. Reform is not a grassroots party and is thus not really set up for local elections. My guess is they'll go for bigger metropolitan areas and leave the backwoods to the yokels.

Not forgetting they have to pay their own deposits, as any company funds are in Coutts.

This isn't where their support tend to be, in fact many metropolitans are overtly hostile to them. Would love it to be the case that this constitutes their electoral strategy, but doubt it unfortunately.
