Am I right in thinking there is a chance for the top 8 to get in to Europe this season?

Top 5 'could' all be in the Champions League (If the Premier League is awarded one of the two extra spots)

6th and 7th 'could' get into the Europa League (if the FA Cup winners are already in Europe via their league place)

8th 'could' get into the Conference League (if the League Cups winners are already in Europe via their league place)

Is this right?!

If so Europe again, ole, ole

Just to confuse things the top 9 could get Europe if the PL get one of the two extra places and whoever finishes 5th wins the Champions League or Europa League. Admittedly its unlikely but it would have happened for Germany if Borussia Dortmund had won the Champions League final last season.

Not saying another Euro tour would be nice, but it's a bit crazy that nearly half the division could be in Europe.

Given the last time people started going on about being in Europe we ended up going on a 6 game run without a win, could we not right now and just enjoy it for what it is?

Average number of points needed for the following positions over the last 5 years:

6th: 62
7th: 59
8th: 57

4th is 69 if you wanted get very carried away!

FH previous team went on long runs of either going unbeaten / continuous wins towards end of each of last two seasons - am sure he might be mentioning it to the players in private - intensity and out working the opposition will be his themes no doubt
