Quite ironic really hearing United "fans" on the train home saying that "the referee was poor today and didn’t give them anything barring the penalty, why wasn’t Baleba sent off for that?"

Think they need to go and visit the opticians as Peter Bankes gave them pretty much everything and let them get away with so many fouls in the middle of the park which if we had committed he would have definitely blown up for.

The chant of "3-1 and you’ve got 12 men" was great

Peter Banks had a good game. Not sure what either set of fans are moaning about. It was a tough match with plenty of duels but never felt ugly or out of control. Most decisions were correct and none of the teams unfairly treated (which you can tell by both set of fans not liking his performance).

You’ve never been to a game (in England), you have no idea how it works, all fans will have unequivocal dislike and distrust to every referee, they are all shit, regardless, no other opinion is acceptable.

Are Banks and Bond the best PL refs?

After hopeless, arrogant cnts such as Kevin Friend, perhaps Howard Webb is really improving things?

On the question of the penalty, those fans need to read the laws.
It would have been harsh, but there is an argument for a red. It definitely stopped a goal scoring opportunity and the double jeopardy rule only applies when making a genuine attempt to play the ball which Baleba obviously wasn’t.

Like I said, it would have been harsh, but could have easily happened by the letter of the law.

Was very angry that Pervis wasn`t protected , it seemed very obvious on the box that he was being singled out for attention , tough lad and keeps getting up but i cringed a few times watching , hope he is ok .

He was turning away from goal when Baleba fouled him.

They need to go and revisit the last 30 years.

The old BBC scenario is that.

Why do I like the BBC ? I like them because the left say they are right wing and the right wing say they are left wing. So if they are upsetting both then they must be pretty reliable.
