The highest average score since Parer and Corer (those supposedly ‘commonly used words’) - 5.5 thus far today (140k plays). I feel fortunate with a birdie after seeing the scores from clearly more clever players.

Unusual not to have any greens before guessing right. And seeing the other scores am now wondering why I didn't go for another word with the same last four letters -

but I have been on holiday this week, overlooking a place where I have seen someone described by the word every morning - so it must have been in my mind!

The NSC average was 4.70, the second highest of the season after Newcastle Away (the americanised spelling: FIBER), which also produced an excellent away win.
