Started enough of these over the years to know exactly how these go!

Going against the grain is just something I'm happy to do... somebody has to.

There are tedious trends on NSC that appeal to the main demographic of NSC, such as the countless wanky outdated music threads, and the RIP threads of people that nobody under the ages of 50 have heard of.

I personally think NSC should be more welcoming to the newer generation of fans. The ignore function is an absolute Godsend, but newer fans must stumble upon this site and think WTF is all this bollox.
I think you'll find that most of the NSC demographic is over 50.

The way NSC works will, as it always has, be dictated by its users - its done well enough to attract new ones for decades, and will continue to do so.

If enough people want to change the content and "style" of the forum, that will happen organically and not because some middle-aged attention seeker thinks he knows how to attract the "new generation" of fans.
Never mess with old gits ???

And sadly not too far in the future from having a RIP thread of our own.

Poor Mustafa - if he is one of the few under 50s, how will he cope in 10-15 years time, when half the main board will be filled with RIP threads of NSCers who’ve kicked the bucket?

Who the f*** are you calling middle aged? I've still got a fair bit of time left unlike most of you lot 😂

Like it or not, encouraging thought and discussion through raising an issue is always beneficial and usually impacts change.

The RIP threads ARE out of hand, and I predict that will change following this discussion.
You appeared to have swallowed your own BS.

Last time he did one of these, it was about too many Music threads, so the mods changed the forum ident to “North Stand Bands” or something - oh how we laughed

This silly goose does this from time to time when he isn’t getting enough attention, then gets rightly mocked by the vast majority of people, then claims bullying and flounces in one form or another, then comes back like none of it ever happened.

Then, when enough time has passed, he does it again and so on…

The Mustafa Cycle™
Of course, us old NSCers will remember how the Carry Up The Khyber film introduced us to a new take on the name 'Mustafa'

I propose Mustafa II becomes 'Mustafa Flounce'

RIP Ray Hobden.

My mate Ray has just died. He had cancer all over his body, but he never let on how bad the pain was. He thought of those around him.

He has been in hospital. He asked that when the time came, his wife and two sons were not at his bedside, so that they wouldn't have that memory for the rest of their lives. Even on his death bed, he was thinking of others.

Keep on fishing Ray.

Sorry to hear this, he sounds like a top bloke.

I don't know what young Mustafa is complaining about, the Liam Payne RIP thread was bussin' and frequented by the slay kings and queens. I think he has crashed out here by suggesting we are cheugy and to suggest so is cringe.

I think he is salty that we are the rizzlers and we are savagely the gas. Its a weird flex for a mid-skibidi, no cap.

In jest or not, that just isn't a nice thing to say.
He complains we are not welcoming to the younger generation and then makes a comment like that about the majority age of the board. You really couldn't make it up!

I guess we will get less of these little tantrums as he matures. We have seen less flouncing while demanding his valuable contributions be deleted. Which is a shame.

Worth noting that if you pay Bozza to become a patreon he sends a form to you and you detail all the threads you don’t like.

Bozza then spends his time personally editing the site for you in live time so you don’t become upset.

You’re a bit behind the times there old chap.

I’m happy to say Bozza got with the times, and thanks to a huge boost in site revenue thanks to the OP’s return, was able to invest in an AI startup.

It’s early days so far I understand, only 42 staff and a small office, but there is already a beta version of the new NSC software available for patrons.

It does everything you described, without Bozza’s input, and also generates a searingly sarcastic response every time the same couple of members (in every sense of the word) make the forum all about themselves. It’s brilliant.

MESSAGE END
