It was pretty much all positives. Enciso even looked as if he could play as part of a team, which hasn’t always been the case. It would be the icing on the cake if this was things clicking for him. He faded a bit and I thought he was taken off at the right time, but the goal will have helped him, and he didn’t try to do too much. It’s the most balanced performance I’ve seen from him.

Between that, Solly’s goal, Rutter’s goals, McConville’s debut, JP’s scan results, not to mention just winning a game of football, today couldn’t have been better.

Oh, and Jake Humphrey will have had to diarise some grieving time. Delightful.

Agree with all these...

I'd also like to add Minteh. He would absolutely DESTROY the Championship. He looked so dangerous today.

I know he's raw, unpredictable, and does silly things from time to time - but his pace and strength is really elite.

Once we harness his powers, he will be unstoppable, mark my words.
He’s one that would be devastating in the right system in the Premier League. As his all round game improves he’ll start to suit our system more and more, I’m sure, he’s just better suited to a counter attacking side at present.

There’s a serious player in there though.

Looking at that picture I think the lino was eyeballing Welbeck and had completely forgotten that Solly was also offside.
Welbz could have been done for interfering, Solly not so sure, its hard to tell from that angle but the player at the bottom of the screen looks to be playing him onside.

The big positive for me after so many draws against teams we would hope to beat we finally thumped one. Its got to be good for the confidence going forward and I cant smile wide enough to see Solly back and scoring.

Back home before 8.30pm
That's pretty impressive. That said, the A12 is quite good from Ipswich. It's if you follow it from there that it turns into real Norfolk.

Didn’t go near the A12 - 23/25/M11/A11. Saving the A12 for Thursday 🤣
It's interesting how they are called 'A' roads in Norfolk and Suffolk. Taking the A12 to Ipswich was fine. Driving onto Lowestoft was like following an unmarked path across a ploughed field.

Loved the cheers every time Duffy got the ball and "Duffy scores and we're on the pitch", luckily he didn't!
All the Duffy love was great, of course richly deserved and he handled a slightly tricky situation as deftly as whenever he found himself in the company of some bird from Worthing in a nightclub: asking him to wave…while he’s still playing…then cheering his every touch and booing when he passed it to a team mate. All a big part of the most purely enjoyable afternoon watching us for ages.

Enciso? Lad finally got a goal. Let's hope it's the first of many!

I thought Enciso was looking like he did last season after a torrid start to this. No pre-season being away with Paraguay at the Coppa, then Olympics where he got injured. Them when he came back looked like he'd lost it mentally both for us and Paraguay (asked to be subbed at HT in one game where he missed a pen).

Was on the bench and then even dropped off the bench for a few games. Came back and hss a much better attitude. Gets his goal which was superb, winning the ball and incredible shot.

Thought our overall play was much quiicker and far more direct. Didn't see Steele with his foot on the ball for half an hour or the ball go JPVH - Webster -: Estupinian -JPVH -Veltman -Steele etc ...

Plus:
-Welbz cameo
-Solly scoring
-Georginio
-Duffy song being rung out

Lots of love for Duffy post-match, which he seemed to appreciate

Most is already said, but I'd also like to give cred to FH for that strong line up. He took the cup seriously, thanks for that. I love the FA-cup!
We don’t have many games at the moment so you’d hope he would. It’ll be interesting to see if he keeps with this philosophy if we progress and the games mount up.

Me too. I know a lot of people say the magic is gone and all that, but it’s still my favourite competition. Enjoy following it from round one to the end.
