Extremely highly rated 18 year old Real Vallodolid right back.

Had a €40m release clause which has gone down to €20m now that they have been relegated.

Dortmund leading the race but Arsenal are very interested in him and have been for some time.

A player I had recommended some time ago back when the Lamptey to Wolves rumours were starting up, would be a great choice for us that fits the mould but would struggle to get done with the other clubs interested in him.

Hopefully if Arsenal get him it would make it easier for us to get Sacha Boey who we have been linked with.

Requisite skills compilation? Check.

I think so too but always worth a go and if he goes to Arsenal it will hopefully free up Boey who we've apparently bid for a couple weeks ago now.

I think that of the two, Boey would be my preference, based on nothing other than a more impressive highlights video.

Boey is 4 years older so perhaps more likely to hit the ground running. Either one would be fantastic though.

Rumours now that Bournemouth might be signing him.

If so that's absolutely ridiculous and a huge signing for them.

Think we should be all over this as it will solidify our defence massively.

A very good lesson to us all about career progression of these wonderkids

Two years ago, all the top clubs in Europe interested. Now going to a modest club for a modest price. Best of luck to him.

Potential is always just that, potential. Some players terrific at age 18 won't develop into top level players. Youth development is far from linear and far from predictable.

Tbf I think he was also a bit of a victim of Amorim's system that doesn't use traditional FBs.

It's interesting they're selling him now when Rui Borges is actually using a 4-man defense. Guess that means Alberto Costa will join Sporting.
