[Film] Where Eagles Dare

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Kelly's Hero's was on earlier - another silly film.

Burton was mostly drunk when filming WED.

As a keen ornithologist, I was really looking forward to this.

Disappointing, imho

In Where Eagles dare, if you listen carefully near the end you can hear Christopher Plummer singing Edelweiss
Much much more likely to be Bill Lee you’ll hear as Plummer was dubbed out of the film version of SoM, much to his anger.

Chris Plummer didn’t sing Edelweiss in the movies - he was dubbed!

This is correct.
Although the full catalogue of tracks from the film was released about 18 months ago and included are Chris Plummer’s versions.
It’s a bit odd why they didn’t retain his voice as it’s really not that bad!

🤦‍♂️that’s ruined it for me
if it eases your pain at all, you can always reflect that he was also the singing voice of Shere Khan in the Jungle Book (the original one, of course, not the new outrage).
