Just watched it for the 3rd time. Great cast but farcically unbelievable. So many holes in it that you have to be really determined to turn a blind eye to.
As a keen ornithologist, I was really looking forward to this.

In Where Eagles dare, if you listen carefully near the end you can hear Christopher Plummer singing Edelweiss
Much much more likely to be Bill Lee you’ll hear as Plummer was dubbed out of the film version of SoM, much to his anger.

This is correct.
Although the full catalogue of tracks from the film was released about 18 months ago and included are Chris Plummer’s versions.
It’s a bit odd why they didn’t retain his voice as it’s really not that bad!

I’ve visited this. Was very disappointed that there was no mention of Where Eagles Dare on the official tour.

if it eases your pain at all, you can always reflect that he was also the singing voice of Shere Khan in the Jungle Book (the original one, of course, not the new outrage).
