I would largely agree apart from the Croydon in Surrey bit , for 1 Crystal Palace play in South Norwood and 2 the district of Croydon is in Greater London and has been since 1965 ( 60 years ) it’s like saying Falmer is in Lewes.
Sort of, but like Russia, Ukraine and Poland it's a complicated history which is the why the United Nations built the Ikea where it is.

I go there to buy light bulbs, the locals go there to find food in the form of meatballs and full fat coke.

It works.

I take slight issue with this. Yes: the racists. Yes, the posh ones. But you also forgot the ten million or so of armchair overseas fans whose ability to locate Stamford Bridge on a map of London is even worse than Cucurella's and whose entire Twitter history consists of the posts "small club", "relegate now", "give us xxx player" and "we are cooking".

They've always been a nasty club, with a disproportionate quota of deeply unlikeable players long before they signed most of ours (John Terry, Diego Costa, Jody Morris, Dennis Wise, Frank Lebeouf etc). Also- and I appreciate this may be controversial- they worship Madness, and the sight of a bunch of overweight sixty something Burberry-clad pretend Headhunters swaggering theatrically around a stadium concourse while thrusting their pints in the air and shouting out the talky bit from the start of One Step Beyond is tragic beyond words. In my personal opinion, of course :)
I kid you not bloke at work is a “Chelsea supporter “ of course never been to bridge before when I asked him where Chelsea is in the uk he replied “near Leeds “

Thankfully I've come off Twitter now so a lot of this stuff floats by me but my brief summary as someone in their late 30's is thus

Arsenal- growing up they were actually kind of the "goodies" in the rivalry with Man U but now seem to have a terrible case of main character syndrome where they seem to collectively think that everything revolves around them. Way too much coverage in the media- partly because 50% of their fan base write for the guardian. Also my ex stepdad supported them and he was a prick. In fact "supporting arsenal" often seems to mean "not really into football"

Spurs- my wife's family support them so I often enjoy them losing. No one at my school supported them so basically until I met the Mrs I gave them very little thought. Ultimately they're just quite shit aren't they and somehow managed to join the so called "big 6" despite winning 1 league cup this century

Chelsea- absolutely repulsive fan base. The old ones seem to either be racist pricks or posh wankers and the young ones are the worst type of glory hunters around. I have never, ever enjoyed a football conversation with a Chelsea fan

West Ham- I just don't think of them as a big club at all, partly because I have an imprinted belief that if you were in the same league as us while we were at Withdean then you can't be that great. Quite nauseating with the whole idea that they have some sort of brand of incredible football when two of their managers in recent memory were David Moyes and Sam Allardyce. Otherwise I give them little thought really

How do you feel about AFC Wimbledon and Barnet?
Can't believe I forgot Wimbledon! I lived in Wimbledon for a decade. They are probably the team I'd support if BHA were no longer a thing. Proper supporters who have a healthy respect for our club in my experience, so I very much like them.

Barnet are harmless enough but are not much bigger than half a dozen other London non league clubs, so I don't pay my attention to them. I've never met a Barnet fan.

But you don't imagine for a nanosecond we will stop saying that you are not a London side, do you?
Perhaps when you accept that the gap to be minded is the one between you and us?
Probably not even then, to be fair.
There is nothing better than the truth than a pleasing falsehood

Didn't mind Arsenal back in the Wenger days.
Had a lot of time for Arsene.

Can't stand the current version though, not quite Chelsea levels, but getting that way.

They've somehow got me wanting Liverpool to win the league, and they're pretty damn annoying. Any club with that level of success hoovers up a generation of twatty supporters.

Nah.

Palace are from Surrey. Don’t give that London stuff any oxygen.

It takes an age to get from London Bridge to their hovel.

Funny how All the other 3 class spurs as the one they dislike the most.
Personally I think Spurs are just a bit less dislikeable than the others but it does fluctuate a bit.
