Lots of early starts today -
Blackburn Rovers take on Burnley - ACD (starts) versus Sarmiento (starts);
Stoke (Andrew Moran starts) play Not Wayne Rooney's Plymouth Argyle.

In League 1, Chouchane (Northampton) - starts;
In League 2, Grimsby (Barrington starts) kick off at 1 o'clock at Bradford City.

A good day so far - all our loanees get to start.

There seem to be far more early kick offs in the lower leagues these days.

Barrington getting a fair bit of stick on the Grimsby forum. Quite a lot want him sent back - lightweight, offers nothing, not good enough etc etc.

It’s because of the new TV deal where they are showing more championship games on Sky+

Just had a text from my Sheffield Weds supporting son in law. He does not want Beadle to leave, been raving about him recently and I think he might be having a blinder so far today. I fear we might have another Ben White situation brewing with him :lolol:

They are even more Massive than the Champions of Europe aren’t they?

Apart from the GKs and Andrew Moran, all our loanees got subbed today - Offiah quite early on, after an hour; normally plays the full 90 - hope he's not injured.

...............and late news - Ben Jackson was an unused sub for Livingston at Queen's Park.

Remember George Cox - the young LB who needed life-saving heart surgery while he was with us that nearly ended his career? We sent him out on loan a couple of times, and he played for a few years for Fortuna Sittard in the Eredivisie after making his loan permanent. He's back in the UK now - scored a 97th. minute penalty winner for Swindon yesterday.
Went to school with George and played with him a few times in the school team, good to see him doing well after all he's gone through.
