Has got the tin foil hat brigade going on a bit on social media, but I digress.

I had it once a few years ago, caught in a residential home near Wrexham where they had a local outbreak.

It turned both my mouth and backend into a double barrelled nuclear reactor.

Extraordinary carnage thinking back. My ring piece was as sore as a skin peeled thumb in a packet of salt and vinegar crisps.

I had to really concentrate for a week on what I could eat or drink that didn't make me sick by even thinking about it. Bizarrely I settled on milk shake and cheese toasties which inevitably make me vomit.

Anyone had it this year ?

I babysat my 5 year old granddaughter three days before flying to Paphos last month...she had a bad case of it starting the day before we flew. Was convinced I was carrying it but got away with it.

Horrific for a five year old…the virus ..not you babysitting

my abiding memory of it was the number of times I vomited and unlike when you throw up “Normally” ….there was never those few seconds/minutes of relief shortly after …..with novo you felt just as sick as you did before etc…..awful experience ..never again please!

I've had it twice before.

The first time was the night before that game against Burnley when we were down to 9 men after about 10 minutes. I ended up lying in bed and listening to it on the radio, with regular trips to the bathroom, bucket in hand. As you say, it's total carnage from both ends.

The second time was in about 2017. I woke up at about 4am, felt it coming on and knew I was in for a rough couple of days. I got through a lot of Netflix.

On both occasions, the "ejections" lasted for less than 24 hours but then it took at least a week to get over it and start eating and drinking normally again.

Not something I want to experience again any time soon.

Unlucky to have it twice…..after the first twelve hours I never had enough time to get to the bathroom…I had to vomit into a small bin that I would line with a plastic bag….then after each session drop them out the bedroom window …..it was such a delight collecting them all up two days later

I had it about 18 months ago. 5 days of basically sitting on or vomiting into the toilet, then drinking just enough water to rinse and repeat the cycle. There’s absolutely nothing pleasant about it.

For a moment I thought this was about Norton Antivirus software.

Reboot.

I had it for 24 hours or so after the Wolves game. Felt it coming on the train back, just about got home and found out the missus had started about an hour before.

Worst of all I’d just pre ordered a Indian takeaway for delivery later that evening that didn’t get touched
