Hoping to tap the vast reservoir of knowledge that is NSC…

At my aunt’s house for New Year and she is not the most tech literate. So she asked me for help and I am stumped…

She migrated her Netflix account to Virgin Media and whilst she can watch Netflix via her TIVO box she can no longer log into a separate Netflix app on another TV using her usual account details.

I wondered whether once migrated to the virgin media version of the Netflix account you were then restricted to only watching via the TIVO box.

Any help greatly appreciated and Happy New Year!!!

I'd suggest deleting the app on the offending TV, changing her password, re-installing it and logging back in.

Certainly not an issue for us. If you use the family option in Virgin which is a no cost option as far as y remember you can have Netflix on other devices. All you need is the Netflix account password.

Thank you all for the replies.

When she logs in using a separate Netflix app (or the Netflix website), it basically infers that she has no subscription and asks her to choose a ‘plan’.

I had that with a “ free “ version of discovery+ and paramount + on sky where I try to add my free subscription ( for getting fibre broadband) and it won’t let me past the “ choose a plan”

I had something similar about six months ago. Turns out some toerag had hacked my Netflix account and replaced my email / login with theirs. So I was still paying for but couldn't access Netflix. So... check if there's an email address you don't recognise in your account details. If there is, make a note of it and Netflix chat human should be able to reset it for you

Not sure it's of any help.
We have Netflix through EE TV, paying the basic subscription. So if I tried to login to Netflix elsewhere, it won't let me do so.
