I'm in, as a morbidly obese middle aged man I feel things have to change. Mrs Crod isn't particularly happy but needs must, half a stone should be achievable and a dry January will help that no end.

I watched a documentary last night called Miso Hungry staring Australian comedian Craig Anderson. About how he changed his eating habit and dropped pounds.
Really good, funny, interesting and inspiring.

Failed in getting under my target in the run up to Christmas - I was warned! Too many Christmas socials, mince pies around the office etc haven’t weighed myself since 20th December.

I think I haven’t been too bad over Christmas with eating wrong type of food but so much food around, far too much wine and lots of hot pork crackling on Christmas Day!

Travelling at the moment.
Well that was bloody unexpected - just got home and weighed myself and after what for me was a weeks of excessive eating and drinking plus the socials and work dos in the run up to Christmas, I have actually lost weight over Christmas.

1.6 KILOS lighter 😳 - 3.5 lbs since 7 December but more since 20th because I had put on weight again put on nearly 2 kilos so I have probably lost nearer 3 kilos in ten days.

Really chuffed - it will make January target a lot easier.

I,ll be back in too. One month was never going to be enough to create a sustainable habit of healthy eating.

Looking forward to the camaraderie and esprit de corps that exists on this thread.

Defo in I’m back at my November starting weight
This. Possibly even above it. I will be following my own mantra of 'Eat less, move more'.

Thanks for starting the thread, CBH. I've weirdly been looking forward to it as it is a huge motivator.

Good luck everyone

Well, I'm dreading the initial weigh in on Wednesday. A December of client entertaining, feasting and total lack of restraint has undone all my good work in November.

But I know what to do tobget backnon track. I'll continue to weigh myself daily and will be reporting back here each Wednesday.

Please do join in if you think it'll be helpful. Encourage, support and share what's working for you.

And if you want to, share your weight losses (or gains - let's be honest with each other).

Finally, remember to be kind to yourself - for many of us we're trying to unlearn years, if not decades, of unhelpful habits and behaviours.

Good luck.
Yes I'm back in. God knows how much I have put on during December but its not going to be pretty!

I'm in, currently sitting at 206.5 which is 10 pounds more than 2019, the 2020 Covid stress/food free for all added weight that I never lost. Time to get rid of it. Got some exercise bands for Christmas, maybe I'll figure out how to use them.

Day 1: 82.35kg (13st 0lb)
Target: 79.4kg (12st 7lb)

This is going to be a tougher challenge for me than November’s, but I’ll give it a go.

I’ve put on 2.3kg over Christmas (as expected), but I’m still 4.15kg (9lb) lighter than I was at the start of November. I expect that I should be able to shed the Christmas excess fairly easily, but to get down to 7.1kg (1st 2lb) lighter than the start of Nov is gonna take some serious effort.

Right I’m off to the gym!

I have a set of Bluetooth scales which automatically transfer all sorts of date-weight-bmi-body fat-etc to my phone and gives me handy graphs showing how much Ive put on over Christmas!

Whilst not on any particular diet I do a weekly weigh in with a friend and have an ongoing target to reduce to 110kg. I started at 129 in Jan 2023 and after Christmas am now at 116.8kg This thread will give me another encouragement to reduce the December gain and get back on track to my 110kg target.
