This would be a decent point. However, yet to be convinced that this system allows many of our players to excel. Another man in midfield would help.

Was that our good half or our shit half then? It doesn’t sound clear cut.
Villa had about two-thirds of it, scoreline is fair on balance of play but Villa have to earn it, not be given late Xmas presents by officials

We scored our goal from a fast attacking sweep up the field and people want to calm things down and have players put their foot on the ball to slow down our attacks? Holy shit.

Positive half in my view.

I actually think we're doing a good job defensively, but we're not doing well playing out from defence.

It's a shame we've lost the ability to effortlessly play out from the back under pressure, in quite the way we used to.

I personally don't enjoy the long balls.

Need to get Adringa on the ball more. He's looking dangerous today.

Football is a contact sport however there is a difference between legal and illegal contact. Unfortunately the games officials struggle telling the two apart!

On the penalty; I get that if you kick an attacker in the box, it's going to be a penalty. What I don't get is how you call it a kick if JP doesn't actually flick his foot forward?

It was pulled back. It was just a collision IMHO.
Rogers had a foul awarded against him a few minutes later and he had the nerve to say "I just kicked his foot"
