f***ed over by Pawson imo and confidence has drained since.

I am a big Enciso fan but he has had a mare other than one great shot, needs to be subbed

The referee lost it with the penalty reviews and has lost the game completely. The game has just become a farce after that.

Think the ref has been fine tbh. He’s not giving much in the way of small fouls, so yeah I’m sure both us and Villa are moaning about each other getting away with things. The second pen call was a bit “letter of the law” but not wrong. Think it’s been fine.

Wow. That was an entertaining first half.

Neither side playing particularly well, but I guess that adds to the entertainment. Feels very desperate and physical.

Their penalty decision was an absolute JOKE. I don't think either of their VAR shouts was a penalty - van Hecke got his studs on the ball, and Pedro went to clear the ball fairly. Out of the two, the first was most likely to be a penalty - but the ref gave the 2nd, purely because he didn't give the first - succumbed to the pressure, spineless wanker.

In regards to the football, it's very even. We're probably marginally better than them. Pedro is not up to this number nine role, this needs a rethink. Such a messy game, that it's hard to say who's playing well. Dunk is composed, as you'd expect.

I really think this game cries out for the calm and collectiveness of Mitoma. It's amazing how we miss him when he's not playing. It's absolutely chaos out there, we need some players to calm it down a bit.

Nice to see Lamptey step up, and Igor is putting in a decent shift out of position.

But worrying though, that when our forwards have run themselves ragged pressing (no one can keep up that tempo the whole game through), there doesn’t seem to be much of a plan b for shutting down the midfield. Very interesting to see how this plays out.

My mate, a neutral, says it’s one of the best games he’s seen all season. I’ll agree eventually, if we win.

Might be being harsh but we look a bit like a primary school team at times- all rushing after the ball, chasing back, booting it forward to nobody. No control in the midfield. Ayari needs to come off HT. Baleba struggling too, so effectively playing a half strength midfield

Pedro doesn't suit the number 9 you say - who are you putting in that position instead?

Everyone who is a natural for that position is injured.

If it's "letter of the law" why the lack of fouls for the same offence throughout the game!?

Enciso off and random Premier League level player in. Could take off Ayari as well, weak performance from him and on a yellow card.

Tell the boys to stop rolling around for no reason. Villa are better at it so lets try to do something they cant, like standing up.
