They’ve just added up the so-so checks and given one. I’m a big supporter of VAR but that’s an awful use of the technology, it has to be clear and obvious

First one definitely wasn't a blatant foul, second one arguably was, but a harsh one IMO.

Aside from the fact that it totally follows the rules there was no Malice from Joao Pedro, I wish these weren't penalties.

This is ALWAYS the point for me with VAR. How can they say it's a clear error when they are not even sure after looking at it for ages?

We are so incredibly weak. And stupid.
First JP can't hold on the ball WHEN WE NEED him too as we can't get out. Baleba then can't position himself to stop Rodgers advancing into th area. He hasn't been coached to get goal side and tackles like a back heel ballet piroette. VH gave away a penalty imo and we were lucky to survive that. From the corner Bart flaps when he should CATCH and JP is a f***ing donkey who just tries to boot the ball and kicks the man.
Oh well that Villa goal was well and truly coming. Hope we don't concede again in quick succession as per...
