[Albion] Any chance ALL the singers move to the South stand next season?

The West Upper is key. Only when the WU joins in does the atmosphere really sound loud IMO. The NS is too small and too far away from the away end to really keep the atmosphere going. Home atmospheres tend to be quieter but I do think moving away fans will help somewhat.
this season WU has probably been the most vocal stand in the ground.

Not sure whats going on in the North

I'm in the North and would happily move to the South with the rest of the singers. Think we need the NSK on board though, and I suspect the majority won't want to move.
Why?

Leave them there, they do want they want, and we hopefully get a south stand full of people who want to sing together.

I'm merely thinking of the numbers. I'm not sure there's enough willing participants who are happy to move to the south, I'd be very happy to be proved wrong though.

Just a thought, where do you think the displaced fans from SW are going to go? They will have first dibs on seats, quite rightly, and the only large area available will be the South Stand!!!

The year is 2237.

The Labour-Tory Coalition is going strong in its 238th consecutive Government and are planning yet more austerity measures and preparing for the 19th "Do the Hokey-Kokey" Brexit Referendumb.
The resurrected corpse of Donald Trump is running for President of what remains of the United States.

We've terraformed and colonised both the Moon and Mars. Neither the Martians nor Moon-People are very happy about it.
People are still talking about the AMEX atmosphere on whatever passes for NSC in this future hellscape I've painted.

You haven’t addressed the elephant in the room - what division are we in?!

The North is great when its great but so so quiet when its not this season

You can see and hear people really trying but for some reason it's just not carrying right across the stand all the time

The North stand was singing for most of the 1st half only to hear the away end singing "is this a library" - can away fans really not hear the north stand? We need the singers closer for improved atmosphere.

Now the club have confirmed the new away end, is there any way of gathering momentum with seeing if the "singers" all want to move together to the south stand

- all singers together so no more split songs across the north
- next to the away end which would 100% boost atmosphere
- opportunity to make this happen as there will be a whole stand available to organise into a loud singing section which i'm sure could be filled with pockets of singers currently dotted all over the amex

Be interested to know if anyone in the south or towards the south end heard the noise from the north stand during that first 40 mins
I'm towards the south end of ESU. Where I sit, the away fans are always louder, obviously, but against Brentford the North was actually quite audible for much of the first half. Not loud — it's never loud — but audible. As Brentford settled into the game the North became subdued but I’ve certainly seen/heard worse. If you’re in the away end I doubt you can hear anything at all.

The away fans can hear you. They just choose to be cheeky chaps and sing “football in a library” when there is even the slightest moment of quiet atmosphere in the ground.

Brentford fans did make me laugh. They take up the smallest away allocation, make barely any noise, have a terrible home atmosphere themselves, and then when there’s a quiet moment in our game on Friday start a not very loud version of “football in a library”.

I sit bang on the half way line in the east. Both ends can be heard perfectly fine. I don’t think there’s then a sudden huge drop off in what you can hear the extra 60metres to each end from me.

Well, science would suggest a significant "drop off" as the south stand is roughly twice as far from the north as you, so it will sound significantly quieter.

From the SW, during very quiet passages it's hard to hear anyone other than the police box lot, though we do sometimes hear another quiet song from the middle section. As the away fans are much closer, they often drown out the north, (that's physics, not a criticism of the NS).

Bizarrely, Palace, despite being largely in control during the second half were quieter than pretty much all our visitors. Villa have been louder and definitely the most unpleasant/hateful over the last few visits , inside the ground at least.

I mean significant enough of a drop off that you just cannot hear the north from the south at all.

That's what i was thinking

If the north can hear the away fans in the south then the sound must travel equally as good back to the south from the north stand

Seems we just need to get all the keen singers together to create an away game type stand which is vocal to really crank up the noise
